They are also the common phrases they hear when people first lay eyes on their vibrant and colourful artworks – and the name of their new exhibition which opens this month at the Art Gallery of Ballarat.

Ms Chibnall’s work features bountiful and colourful paintings of flowers, many on a large scale, while Mr Sedgwick takes found objects and makes them in to quirky sculpted creatures that seem to have a life of their own.

The two artists work each week at the Learmonth Art Hall with their mentors Sarah Lloyd and Geoff Bonney.
